Liquidmetal material is applied to four strategic areas of the racquet´s head and it is the only material that utilizes all the energy your swing generates. No energy is lost on ball impact due to its liquid atomic structure.

 

Benefits of HEAD's Liquidmetal® racquets are enhanced by three additional unrivaled components, Total Sweetspot Construction (TSC), NoShox Dampening System and an Integrated String Dampener (ISD). Total Sweetspot Construction increases torsional stability in the racquet head and extends the sweetspot throughout the entire racquet head, resulting in ultimate control. The NoShox Dampening System consists of a newly developed "memory foam" integrated into the racquet handle that reduces vibrations 27% better than systems in conventional racquets. And an Integrated String Dampener affixed to the grommets at the base of the head absorbs string vibration.

 

 

When HEAD launched its Liquidmetal racquet line in 2003, the one thing that seemed to be missing was a new version of the Prestige. However, it was not long before rumors started to brew that a Liquidmetal Prestige was in the making. At the 2004 Australian Open HEAD made it official . . . the Prestige was back. 

 

And, appropriately, so was long-time Prestige user Marat Safin. By the time Safin had completed 27 grueling sets to reach the final, the world had gotten a pretty good look at the new Liquidmetal Prestige.

History

There are few racquet names that are synonymous with Grand Slam victories. One racquet that belongs in this elite club is the HEAD Prestige. Whether on the red clay of Roland Garros, the lawns of the All England Club, or on the baking hot center court at Flushing Meadows, the HEAD Prestige has been part of the winning combination. In fact, only two things replaced a HEAD Prestige in the hands of respective champions Gustavo Kuerten, Goran Ivanisevic and Marat Safin. One was the trophy, the other, a large check.

The Head Liquid Metal Prestige is an an Ultimate Control Racquet, which, are characterized by a small head, heavy weight, thin beam, head light (or even) balance, and frames that are not too stiff. Ultimate control racquets are recommended for advanced players with full strokes, or powerful athletic intermediates who are likely to take a big swing at the ball. These players generate their own power so its the control that the thin beamed, heavy rackets provide. For advanced  or potentially good juniors of adult height, these rackets encourage the development of full flowing strokes and good technique. The slightly lighter ones in this category are probably best for juniors.
